Tool Setter

We are currently seeking a skilled Tool Setter to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in tooling and solid mechanical knowledge. The role is Permanent and includes rotating shifts.
Shifts-
Week 1-06.00am-14.00pm mon-fri
Week 2-14.00pm-22.00pm mon-fri
Occasionally for holiday cover you will be required to work nights 22.00pm-06.00am
The Role :
- To Undertake production colour changes and tool changes, machine start-ups & shutdowns.
- To Troubleshoot and to optimise processes ensuring all machines are utilised to an acceptable standard.
- Take ownership and accountability for cycle time and scrap targets.
- Pick and place robot usage (Sepro, Krauss, ATM - some training provided)
- Log material usage, changeovers, downtime, and to identify and implement any necessary process changes to improve production.
- Deliver agreed manufacturing targets.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, organised and efficient environment.
- Support the continual development of employees in the work area.
- Actively support Production Team Leaders by providing technical intervention.
- Liaise with all other departments.
- Ensure all work orders are achieved.
Experience Required :
- Ideally 5+ years of experience as a Tool Setter / Changer.
- Experience working in Injection Moulding.
- Good Understanding of Polymers, material and ancillaries associated with the moulding process.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to work alone.
- The ability to train others.
