Job Title: Tool Setter
Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Working Hours: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm-6am Monday to Friday
Salary: £37,000 per annum

Position Overview:

A dedicated Injection Moulding Setter is sought to join a hands-on team and collaborate closely with the new Factory Manager. This role is pivotal in optimising production processes and driving continuous improvements within the factory. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure optimal machine cycle times.
• Efficiently carry out tool changeovers to maintain production flow.
• Perform basic mechanical fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Use a forklift to transport materials to their 19 presses.
• Communicate shift priorities and production numbers in handover documents.
• Maintain the tidiness of tooling racks and masterbatch areas.
• Identify and suggest improvements for equipment, software, and processes.
• Adhere to onsite safety requirements and assist in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in injection moulding is essential.
• A "slow down, to speed up" approach to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Familiarity with various moulding machines, robots, sprue pickers, and granulators.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• A proactive approach to making suggestions and contributing to continuous improvement.
