Location: Central London  
Salary: Up to £60,000 plus package (including healthcare, dental, car/travel allowance, and agile working)

Join a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor, renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects across London. Our Client specialise's in large-scale Cat B Fit Out and commercial projects, consistently exceeding client expectations with their commitment to excellence. As part of their continued growth and success, we are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their Central London team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial aspects of large-scale Cat B Fit Out and commercial projects valued at £30 million and above. Prepare and manage detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure projects are delivered within financial targets.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts. Ensure timely and accurate payments to subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining strong financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide expertise in contract management, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations. Negotiate terms, manage procurement processes, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and assess potential risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure. Provide strategic advice to the project team on cost-related risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to the project team and senior management. Ensure all financial documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and in line with company standards.
  • Work closely with site management and project teams to align financial objectives with project delivery goals. Attend site meetings, contribute to decision-making processes, and ensure effective communication across all levels of the project team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to support successful project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of Quantity Surveying experience, ideally with a focus on Cat B Fit Out and commercial projects within the £30 million+ range.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Professional qualifications such as RICS accreditation are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in cost management software and tools. Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and financial management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complex financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including from home, while maintaining productivity and effective collaboration with the team.
