We are looking to add an additional IT Deployment Engineer to work alongside our existing team to set up, configure and manage our customers secure Azure Environments and manage our internal IT at our Luton office. 

This role involves ensuring that all technical infrastructure is operational, secure, and optimized to meet business needs. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, troubleshoot, and deploy hardware, software, and network systems across multiple customer environments.

The ability to think on your feet and have a troubleshoot mentality will serve you well for this role. 

Key Responsibilities:

**Deployment and Implementation:** 

• Plan, execute, and oversee the deployment of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, software applications) to our new and existing customers in various environments (Azure Cloud and various on-premises ) 
• Assist system configurations and automate deployment processes to streamline software releases and updates. 
• Coordinate with project managers and development teams to ensure successful rollouts of systems and applications. 

**System Administration and Support:** 

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, databases, and networking systems. 
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptime and availability. 
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for both hardware and software-related issues. 

**Network and Security Management:** 

• Deploy and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless systems. 
• Ensure IT security best practices are implemented across all deployments, including data encryption, access controls, and vulnerability management. 
• Respond to security incidents and ensure systems are protected against threats and breaches. 

**Collaboration and Communication:** 

• Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure a smooth and reliable deployment process.  
• Provide training and documentation to end-users and internal staff on newly deployed systems and applications. 
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify requirements, provide updates, and report on system performance. 
• Join customer meetings to assist with technical questions and assist with tender responses around set up and configuration.  

Qualifications:

**Education:**  

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, etc.) are a plus. 

**Experience:** 

• 3-5 years of experience in IT, system administration, or deployment engineering roles. 
• Hands-on experience with deploying and managing IT infrastructure, servers, and networking equipment. 
• Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Azure & virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).  
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g.  Bash, PowerShell, Python).  
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Github actions etc). 

**Skills:** 

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security principles, and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS , GCP). 
•  Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. 

**Preferred Qualifications:** 

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. 

Certifications in AZURE such as,  

• AZ-300 Azure Solutions Architect Experience,  
• AZ-104 Azure Admin Associate   
• AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert 

(CCNA, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect would also be beneficial). 

Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes and practices. 

This is an office based role working from our Luton office.

Interviews will involve converstions with our tech leaders to ensure the levels of knowledge add to the team.
