My client, a thriving commercial business off Colchester North turn off, is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant/Sales Ledger Specialist to help support the team. The role will be office-based reporting into the Credit Control and Sales Ledger Manager.

Main Function

Assist with the sales ledger function of the branches and care homes. Involvement in a VAT Project.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

* Creation of new accounts for service users
* Invoice aspects of the ledger as part of a sales ledger team
* Involvement in a VAT Project
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records
* Proactively communicate with the branches and homes to ensure up to date information is received and accurate
* Business to business and consumer customer contact telephone, email and letters
* Respond to queries from customers and internal staff in relation to sales invoices
* High attention to detail
* Reconciliation of accounts
* Produce final accounts
* Prepare refunds ensuring all documentation received to release a refund
* Review and ensure uplifts applied to accounts accurately on a continuous basis.
* Ensure client contribution accounts are reviewed, and uplifts applied on a continuous basis.
* Review portals and schedules.

Daily Duties

* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Respect the confidentiality of information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act at all times.
* Ensure the dignity and respect of every service user and/or resident is maintained at all times.
* Travel as required within the area and other areas within the company for business and training.

Knowledge and Experience

* Advanced experience / knowledge of sales ledger, credit control, treasury functions
* Industry experience would be an advantage.
* Confident using Microsoft Office programs.
* Pivot Tables
* V-Lookups
* Use of power BI - would be an advantage.

Education and Qualification

* AAT - desirable.
