Our client based in Burnley is an expanding company with an excellent reputation within precision engineering. They have enjoyed a steady growth in clientele and have established a strong order book with a promising future. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker.

The purpose of this role is to work independently to produce bespoke tooling for a range of customers from drawing to completion without the requirement for pre-set programmes but will also be able to work with the team as required for larger projects.

Key Duties Include:

  • Manufacture, modify, repair and maintain extrusion tooling and associated equipment.
  • Milling, Turning, Grinding, XYZ semi C.N.C machines & Benchwork.
  • Maintain all necessary records i.e., Tool Trials, Job Sheets etc.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Maintain all H&S and Environmental standards.

To be considered for this position the successful candidate must have;

  • Previous Toolmaker experience
  • Must be proficient on Manual Lathes, Manual Milling Machines, Surface Grinders
  • Reading of Engineering drawings and GA's.
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerances
  • Experienced with varied materials including Steels and Aluminium.
