About the opportunity:

We are seeking an individual to perform the following:

  • Lead a team of quantity surveyors in estimating construction project costs.
  • Oversee financial and contractual aspects, including the preparation of bills of quantities.
  • Assist in managing project financing and material procurement.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the supply chain is effectively engaged with appropriate contract terms and conditions.
  • Foster strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and collaboration.
  • Manage subcontract letting, negotiations, and financial accounting.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £80k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits including company car or car allowance, private medical cover and a discretionary bonus.

About the requirements:

  • A Senior Quantity Surveyor who has experience working for a residential developer looking to step up.
  • Experience in managing a team for Surveyors, including trainees and assistants.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis
  • Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on their initiative
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to encourage and support junior members of the Commercial Team
  • COINS Experience preferred.
