About the role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialisation in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to support our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with ASD. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a tailored educational experience that meets the unique needs of each student, enabling them to thrive academically and socially.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs is highly desirable.
• A relevant qualification in special education or child development is preferred but not essential.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting children’s learning and emotional well-being.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized learning plans for students with ASD.
• Support students in their academic tasks and social interactions, fostering independence and confidence.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Help create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and engagement.
• Collaborate with educational psychologists and other specialists to implement effective strategies.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
