Graduate Teaching Assistant roles - Newcastle

We are currently recruiting for Graduates who would like to begin their career into education through Teaching Assistant roles with a secondary school in Newcastle. This is to begin a paid internship for a secondary school we are working in partnership with, in the Newcastle area. The positions are to support one to one and as small groups across KS3 and KS4 with the school having an Arts focus.

As part of the Graduate Teaching Assistant Internship, you will become qualified through our accredited training and be paid to gain valuable work experience in a real role as a member of staff in training. 

The role would start in September and run for one academic year.

You must be:

•             available to train and work full time

•             able to commute to the school daily

•             interested to work with Special Needs students

•             prepared to obtain an Enhanced DBS if you do not have one

•             be prepared to complete the training required including after school training

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
