We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team and support our commitment to excellence.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Assistant will support the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes and procedures. This role involves monitoring production processes, conducting quality checks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of food safety and quality assurance principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Monitoring and Inspection:
  • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality specifications.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality checks, inspections, and test results.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of quality assurance documentation, including SOPs, quality manuals, and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Assist in the execution of quality control tests, including microbiological, chemical, and physical testing of products.
  • Record and analyse test data, providing reports on findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Audits:
  • Support compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and other industry standards.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to quality assurance processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
