We are seeking a proactive and committed Quality Engineer with a strong background in Quality within an Engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in metal processing, inspection, and finish preparation, who is also well-versed in quality management systems, particularly ISO9001:2015.



Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain and improve the company's quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Actively improve and maintain ISO9001 quality management systems, conduct internal audits, and manage external audits.
  • Review existing policies and procedures, suggesting changes and improvements, and implementing them.
  • Coordinate and investigate customer complaints or issues with other teams, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Monitor and check off all vehicles leaving the factory, assisting with queries to fulfill both internal and external expectations and prevent on-site issues.
  • Raise internal paperwork for warranty jobs as required.
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers and arrange site visits.
  • Liaise with suppliers for continual feedback and manage warranty/quality issues.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure equipment calibration.
  • Attend and coordinate internal meetings with appropriate data for checking improvements.
  • Record and monitor internal stoppages and assist in pushing through long-term resolutions.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Quality role within an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in metal and metal/alloy processing, inspection, and finish preparation.
  • Expertise in internal and external Quality Audits.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, analytic/investigative attributes with strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, good customer service, and communication skills.
  • A qualification in Quality or problem-solving techniques is advantageous.
