Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: East Sussex
Salary: Up to £60,000 per year + package

About Us:
Hill Mcglynn Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading main contractor specialising in fit-out and educational projects across the south east. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
  • Negotiate and procure subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budgets, and forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly with educational projects.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legislation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
  • Professional membership with RICS or equivalent is preferred.
