Role Overview

SNS Recruitment’s client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Child Protection Court Team in Hereford, Herefordshire. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the lives of children and families through collaborative work with partner agencies. You will be a key player in their Restorative Journey of Improvement, aiming to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to apprentices, step-up students, and family support workers.
  • Work closely with managers to develop the team and enhance service delivery.
  • Practice Development: Lead initiatives for practice development and training. Support the implementation of practice standards, quality assurance frameworks, professional values, policies, and procedures.
  • Court Collaboration: Partner with the Legal Team to manage Court applications and meet court deadlines. Facilitate discussions on complex cases to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Team Support: Offer support with case management and professional development. Ensure adherence to high standards of practice and regulatory requirements.

Essential Requirements

  1. Qualifications: Fully qualified with DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in statutory social care.
  3. Commitment: Strong dedication to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
  4. Skills: Ability to foster a supportive and challenging learning environment.
